About The Position

Ascensia Diabetes Care is a global company dedicated to improving the health and lives of people with diabetes. It develops the CONTOUR portfolio of blood glucose monitoring systems and is a member of PHC Group. The Validation Engineer II drives validation projects both on-site and in-house and serves as a technical partner to customers, the sales team, and technical support specialists. This is an onsite role in Wood Dale, Illinois, with overnight travel up to 50%.

Requirements

2–3 years of experience in calibration and/or validation procedures.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Experience with temperature mapping.
Ability to travel up to 50%.

Nice To Haves

Experience in electrical and/or electronic troubleshooting procedures.
Refrigeration experience.

Responsibilities

Perform on-site validation, including Installation, Operational, and Performance Qualifications, and calibration at customer locations throughout North America.
Perform in-house validation, including Factory Acceptance Testing, and calibration.
Lead the development, writing, and revision of validation protocols and calibration procedures.
Lead the organization, maintenance, and compliance of validation equipment.
Quote validation services and prepare related documentation.
Work with the technical support department to provide validation and calibration support to customers and internal staff.
Provide support for customer-generated testing protocols.
Provide telephone technical support to customers on biomedical product operation, maintenance, and repair as needed.
