About The Position

The Virginia Eye Institute (VEI) is hiring a part-time valet to join their busy practice in the Richmond, VA area. This role is essential in ensuring timely and safe transportation for people from a designated parking lot offsite but nearby the Hanover VEI office, contributing to the overall efficiency of operations.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Strong time management skills and reliability.
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience driving larger vehicles or vans is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive the company van from the offsite parking lot to the Hanover VEI office and back.
• Ensure all passengers are safely seated and adhere to safety regulations.
• Maintain a consistent schedule, picking up and dropping off as required.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the van is in good working condition.
• Report any maintenance issues or concerns to the supervisor promptly.
• Keep the van clean and presentable at all times.
• Coordinate with the office staff to confirm schedules and any changes in transportation needs.
• Maintain clear and professional communication with passengers.
