About The Position

The Valet provides professional, courteous, and compassionate guest services. This role coordinates vehicle and pedestrian traffic, assists guests, and safely operates, parks, and retrieves vehicles while following traffic laws and facility policies. The work includes outdoor exposure in all climates for extended periods and keeping the work area clean. The position is described as suitable for someone entering or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education. Veterans and candidates with military experience are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to operate both standard and automatic transmissions.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate traffic flow.
• Clearly communicate valet procedures, information, and directions to guests.
• Respond appropriately to basic customer and team member inquiries.
• Monitor illegal parking and promptly store vehicles.
• Interact with guests in a friendly manner and assist with loading and unloading.
• Collect and secure guest keys.
• Predict and communicate traffic-flow peaks and parking-lot issues.
• Identify and arrange additional support when wait times are extended.
• Accurately tally and split the tip pool.
• Receive and receipt various valet payments.
• Accurately reconcile and report daily revenue.
• Project currency and coin requirements and reorder as necessary.
• Safely operate, park, and retrieve vehicles while obeying traffic laws, facility policies, and applicable pedestrian regulations.
• Work outdoors without protection from the elements in all climates for extended periods.
• Keep the work area clean of debris.
