About The Position
The Valet/Driver greets guests and provides courteous services, including opening doors, operating elevators, assisting with luggage, and helping manage guest traffic in the lobby. The role safely transports guests between the hotel and local destinations while providing timely, courteous service. It also involves maintaining vehicle cleanliness and proper functioning to support a positive, comfortable guest experience. The position is based at the Sheraton Galleria Dallas, a 317-room hotel with more than 12,000 square feet of meeting space. Requirements
- Current, valid driver's license.
- No moving violations on driving record; driving record must be free of serious infractions.
- Excellent customer service, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, kneel, crouch, bend, and stoop frequently.
- High school diploma or equivalent related experience required.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma preferred.
Responsibilities
- Deliver excellent service and communicate with guests in a friendly, welcoming manner.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the hotel entrance, lobby, and elevator areas.
- Safely transport guests in shuttle vans or other vehicles, including driving the hotel shuttle within the local area.
- Provide information about the local community when requested.
- Load and unload guest luggage and other materials; assist with luggage and packages.
- Complete required transportation logs.
- Report vehicle mechanical problems immediately.
- Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures.
- Work toward improving departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
- Help ensure guest safety and security.
- Open doors, assist with luggage, and escort guests to elevators and rooms as needed.
- Look for opportunities to assist guests, other departments, and leaders.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
