About The Position

The Steamboat True West is looking for guest services oriented staff to fill our Valet positions. This position is responsible for greeting and interacting with members and daily guests of Steamboat True West, valeting guest vehicles and ski/snowboard equipment, as well as moving and storing their equipment in overnight facilities. Applicants must have previous guest service experience. A pdf or word document of your resume is required with online application.

Requirements

  • Previous guest service experience required.
  • Ability to interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers and management consistent with Steamboat Ski and Resort Company’s Service Excellence standards
  • Must be a minimum 16 years of age
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable to drive company vehicles.
  • Must clear a background check.
  • Must be able to push a portable ski rack with castors down slippery ramps with a heavy load
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to load skis and snowboards into the portable ski rack
  • Must be able to speak clearly and effectively in English
  • Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather for extended periods of time

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of the ski mountain and base area, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Warmly welcome and interact with members and guests of True West
  • Maintain high standards of Service Excellence during interactions with guests and co-workers
  • Valet automobiles to and from dedicated parking areas.
  • Valet skis and snowboards between True West equipment storage facility and the snow surface upon member and guest arrival.
  • Maintain an organized equipment storage room
  • Respond to special requests such as tuning request and specific equipment requests.
  • Be knowledgeable about events and activities on the mountain and in the base area to properly inform guests of their entertainment options.
  • Assist other employees when needed
  • Ensure all equipment is always securely stored when not in guest possession.
  • Resolve guest issues including those related to equipment, locker access, parking issues and pass access.
  • Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements
  • Other duties as assigned
