About The Position

The Part-Time Valet - Special Events position is located at Loews Miami Beach. The role delivers a positive client experience by responding to requests and concerns, proactively communicating, and resolving problems. Valets inspect vehicles before parking them, explain rates, follow traffic laws and safe driving practices, report incidents and hazards, and use knowledge of local streets and landmarks to help customers. Employees must arrive on time in a clean uniform and remain in uniform throughout each shift. Pay is $15.00 per hour plus tips.

Requirements

• Valid state driver’s license, current address, and acceptable driving record.
• Previous experience as a valet attendant or driving-related experience is required.
• Proof of legal eligibility to work in the United States, with valid documentation provided if hired.
• Ability to provide accurate information to customers and co-workers and respond professionally to customer problems or complaints.
• Ability to read, write, add, and subtract U.S. currency, and comprehend instructions, short emails, and memos.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and calmly adapt to changes, delays, and unexpected events.
• Ability to stand and walk regularly and use hands to handle cash and equipment; occasionally sit, climb or balance, and lift or move up to 25 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to safely drive a vehicle with a manual transmission (stick shift).
• Availability to work special shifts if needed, including second or third shift and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Resolve client requests and concerns efficiently, find solutions to problems, and communicate proactively with clients.
• Inspect each vehicle before safely parking it and note all findings.
• Explain valet rates to customers.
• Observe traffic laws and safe driving practices.
• Report accidents, safety hazards, unusual occurrences, and policy violations to management.
• Know major area streets, landmarks, and freeways to support customers’ transportation experience.
• Arrive on time for scheduled shifts in a clean uniform and remain in complete uniform throughout the shift.
• Assist management with additional duties as assigned.
