About The Position

Harrah's Cherokee Casino Resort is seeking a Valet Parker for their Hotel division. This non-exempt position reports to the Supervisor, Transportation and Shift Manager, Sunrise Hotel. The primary responsibility is to park and retrieve guest vehicles safely and courteously, ensuring the highest guest service level is achieved and maintained. The role involves receiving vehicles, assisting guests with luggage, handling vehicles safely, completing parking tickets accurately, managing key packs responsibly, and delivering vehicles quickly and safely using the retrieval indication system. The Valet Parker must move with a sense of urgency, assist disabled guests, handle guest concerns effectively, and demonstrate outstanding service skills. They are also expected to follow service recovery measures, be flexible and receptive to change, assist with transportation needs, and adhere to all policies and procedures ethically, endorsing the business objectives, ethics, and values of Caesars Entertainment.

Requirements

A high school or GED is required.
A valid N.C driver’s license is required.
CDL preferred with no more than one (1) DUI conviction or three or more moving violations, three or more traffic citation convictions in the past 3 years (from date of conviction), or conviction for suspension or conviction for at-fault accident within the last 3 years required.
The ability to drive and operate all types of passenger vehicles and light trucks is required.
The ability to drive vehicles with manual transmissions is required.

Ability to operate vehicles in a variety of extreme traffic and weather situations.

Must be able to lift up to and carry 50 pounds.
Must be able to have exposure to outdoor weather situations.
Must be able to tolerate areas containing varying noise and temperature levels, illumination, vibration, crowds, traffic conditions, and air quality, including secondhand smoke.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Must be able to work quickly and maneuver indoors and outdoors while tolerating varied climate and weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

Six months of previous Valet or transportation experience is preferred.
CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

Park and retrieve guest vehicles safely and courteously.
Receive vehicles from guests and issue parking tickets.
Open all vehicle doors and welcome guests to the property.
Assist arriving/departing guests with luggage.
Handle guest vehicles safely and cautiously at all times.
Accurately complete parking ticket with emphasis on the vehicle damage survey.
Park and fully secure vehicles in approved lots or spaces.
Handle key packs responsibly and return the complete key pack to the Valet key station.
Be aware of the retrieval indication system and deliver vehicles quickly and safely.
Move with a sense of urgency at all times when in and around the main entrance to the casino and the Hotel Porte.
Assist disabled guests with entry and exit to the casino and their vehicles.
Ensure that guest concerns are handled in an effective and courteous manner.
Demonstrate high levels of service skills during each guest interaction.
Delight our guests with outstanding service.
Ensure that appropriate service recovery measures are followed through to ensure guest satisfaction with our services and Team Members.
Be flexible and receptive to change in work environment and procedure.
Assist with on and off-property transportation needs.
