About The Position

The Valet Parker role requires excellent customer service skills, including strong verbal and written communication. Responsibilities include parking customer vehicles in a timely manner, handling potentially disruptive or impatient individuals with compassion, and driving all types of vehicles (automatic or standard shift). Valets must maintain a professional appearance, keep the main entrance clear of unattended vehicles, and work in all weather conditions. The role also involves conducting audits of parking areas, providing directions or traffic control, identifying parking violations, and addressing safety or security issues. Additionally, Valet Parkers may provide wheelchair assistance and escorts as needed.

Requirements

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Ability to drive all types of vehicles, automatic or standard shift
  • Must be in proper and approved uniform and clean shaven
  • 2 years High School Education
  • Drivers License

Responsibilities

  • Park customer vehicles in a timely manner.
  • Deal with and show compassion with at times disruptive and impatient people.
  • Drive all types of vehicles, automatic or standard shift.
  • Maintain a constant flow of traffic to keep the Main entrance clear and free of unattended vehicles.
  • Conduct audits of the parking areas to monitor activity.
  • Provide directions or traffic control.
  • Identify parking violations, safety or security issues.
  • Provide wheelchair assistance and escorts if necessary.
  • Exhibit a professional image towards patients, visitors, and employees.
  • Maintain traffic flow in the vehicle staging area.
  • Monitor assigned work area for cleanliness and safety concerns and report issues that can't be easily corrected.
  • Monitor all parking areas for parking violations, safety, and security issues.
  • Assist customers, direct motorists to available parking spaces, and contact Security if additional assistance is needed.
  • Prepare for work by checking for any bulletins, post or schedule changes.
  • Verify that adequate supplies are on hand.
  • Keep accurate and orderly records of parked vehicles.
  • Assess vehicles and note existing damage.
  • Operate vehicles in a professional and safe manner minimizing delays to customers and damage to vehicles.
