About The Position

SP+, a Metropolis company, is seeking a safe Overnight Valet Driver who enjoys interacting with people and providing friendly customer service. Valet drivers inspect and safely park vehicles, explain rates, respond to customer questions, and provide directions when needed. The role requires following traffic laws and safe driving practices, reporting incidents and hazards to management, and arriving on time in a clean uniform for each scheduled shift. The position is located in Chicago, Illinois.

Requirements

• Valid state driver’s license, current address, and acceptable driving record.
• Proof of eligibility to work legally in the United States; valid documentation must be provided if hired.
• Ability to provide accurate information to customers and coworkers and respond professionally to customer problems or complaints.
• Ability to read, write, add, and subtract U.S. currency and understand instructions, short emails, and memos.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and calmly adapt to changes, delays, and unexpected events while working.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to safely drive a vehicle with a manual transmission (stick shift).
• Availability to work special shifts if needed, including second or third shift and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Inspect each vehicle before parking it safely and note any findings.
• Explain valet rates to customers.
• Respond quickly and courteously to customer questions.
• Follow traffic laws and safe driving practices.
• Report accidents, safety hazards, unusual occurrences, and policy violations to management.
• Know major local streets, landmarks, and freeways and provide directions to customers when needed.
• Arrive on time for each scheduled shift in a clean uniform and remain in complete uniform throughout the shift.
• Assist management with additional duties as assigned.
