About The Position

SP+, a Metropolis company, is an artificial intelligence company using computer vision to enable checkout-free parking experiences. It operates a large parking network with more than 23,000 employees at over 4,000 locations across North America and Europe. The Valet Driver safely parks customers’ vehicles, explains valet rates, answers customer questions, and provides directions when needed. This role is an overnight valet position in Chicago, Illinois, and involves maintaining a clean, complete uniform throughout each scheduled shift.

Requirements

• Valid state driver’s license, current address, and acceptable driving record.
• Proof of eligibility to work legally in the U.S.; valid documentation must be provided if hired.
• Ability to provide accurate information to customers and co-workers and respond professionally to customer problems or complaints.
• Ability to read, write, add, and subtract U.S. currency and comprehend instructions, short emails, and memos.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and calmly adapt to changes, delays, and unexpected events while working.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to safely drive a vehicle with a manual transmission (stick shift).
• Availability to work special shifts if needed, including second or third shift and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Inspect each vehicle before parking it safely and note all findings.
• Explain valet rates to customers.
• Respond quickly and kindly to customer questions.
• Observe traffic laws and safe driving practices.
• Report accidents, safety hazards, unusual occurrences, and policy violations to management.
• Know major streets, landmarks, and freeways in the area and provide customers with directions when needed.
• Arrive on time for every scheduled shift in a clean uniform and ready to work.
• Remain in complete uniform for the entire shift.
• Assist management with additional duties as assigned.
