About The Position

SP+ is seeking a safe Valet Driver who enjoys interacting with people and providing customers with a seamless transportation experience. The role involves inspecting and parking vehicles, explaining valet rates, following safe driving practices, and responding professionally to customer requests and concerns. Valet Drivers must arrive on time in a clean uniform and remain in uniform throughout each shift. The position is located in Manhattan, New York.

Requirements

• Valid state driver's license, current address, and acceptable driving record.
• Proof of eligibility to work legally in the United States; valid documentation must be provided if hired.
• Ability to provide accurate information to customers and co-workers and respond professionally to customer problems or complaints.
• Ability to read, write, add, and subtract U.S. currency, and comprehend instructions, short emails, and memos.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and calmly adapt to changes, delays, and unexpected events while working.
• Ability to stand and walk regularly and use hands to handle cash and equipment; occasional sitting and climbing or balancing; ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to safely drive a vehicle with a manual transmission (stick shift).
• Availability to work special shifts if needed, including second or third shift and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Resolve client requests and concerns efficiently, identify ways to address problems, and communicate proactively with clients.
• Inspect each vehicle before parking it and note all findings.
• Explain valet rates to customers.
• Observe traffic laws and safe driving practices.
• Report accidents, safety hazards, unusual occurrences, and policy violations to management.
• Know the area's major streets, landmarks, and freeways to support a seamless transportation experience for customers.
• Arrive on time for each scheduled shift in a clean uniform and remain in complete uniform throughout the shift.
• Assist management with additional duties as assigned.
