About The Position

SP+ is seeking a safe, customer-focused Valet Driver for the JW Marriott Houston Downtown. The role involves parking vehicles safely, assisting customers, and providing a seamless transportation experience. The posted pay is $10.50–$12 per hour plus tips; another salary range in the posting states $9–$12 per hour plus tips. Requirements

Hold a valid state driver's license, have a current address, and maintain an acceptable driving record.
Provide valid documentation proving eligibility to work legally in the United States if hired.
Communicate accurate information to customers and coworkers and respond professionally to customer problems or complaints.
Be able to read, write, add, and subtract U.S. currency and understand instructions, short emails, and memos.
Follow written and verbal instructions and adapt calmly to changes, delays, and unexpected events.
Meet the physical demands of the role, including regularly standing and walking, handling cash and equipment, and occasionally sitting, climbing or balancing, and lifting or moving up to 25 pounds.

Ability to safely drive a vehicle with a manual transmission.

Responsibilities

Resolve client requests and concerns efficiently, find solutions to problems, and communicate proactively with clients.
Inspect each vehicle before parking it and note any findings.
Explain valet rates to customers.
Follow traffic laws and safe driving practices.
Report accidents, safety hazards, unusual occurrences, and policy violations to management.
Know the area's major streets, landmarks, and freeways to support customers' transportation needs.
Arrive on time for scheduled shifts in a clean uniform and remain in uniform throughout the shift.
Assist management with additional duties as assigned.
