About The Position

As a Valet/Bellperson, you would be responsible for transporting guest vehicles in a prompt and courteous manner to and from the parking garage/lot using safe driving practices. In addition to escorting arriving and departing guests in a friendly, courteous manner to and from their accommodations while transporting their luggage.

  • Ability to organize and store luggage

Responsibilities

  • Operates vehicles using safe driving practices to ensure the safe delivery of the vehicles to and from the parking garage.
  • Records vehicle information, writing the guest's name, room number, car license, make/model, amount of charge, and length of stay on the valet ticket.
  • Verbally arranges and confirms parking valet requests from guests and makes appropriate arrangements for bell desk services.
  • Follows established car control procedures, maintains accurate key logs, and completed required valet parking log sheets and reports. As needed, retrieve information on guest vehicles and claim checks using the Valet desk computer system.
  • Retrieves guest items from cars, buses, vans, and carts. Grasp, lift, carry, and/or load or unload luggage and packages onto a bell cart to transport items throughout the hotel to the designated room.
  • Navigates bell carts through public areas, guest room corridors, and elevators.
  • Listens and responds to guest inquiries using a positive, clear-speaking voice. Answers any questions and offers assistance giving accurate information regarding outlet hours, hotel services, directions to local attractions or function rooms, etc.
  • Organizes and stores luggage as necessary in designated areas.
