Requirements

• Available to work weekends, evenings, and shift work.
• Recent in good standing driver’s abstract.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Team oriented.
• Customer service focused.
• Professional manner and outgoing personality.
• Valid Driver’s License with no infractions.
• Good command of the English language.
• Able to operate standard transmission vehicles.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
• Constant standing and walking throughout shift.
• Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs.
• Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting.
• Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps.

Responsibilities

• Provide parking assistance upon arrival and departure of guest vehicles.
• Greet all guests arriving by vehicle and promote valet parking or direct guests to public parking.
• Offer the highest caliber of service to hotel guests.
• Greet all guests and co-workers with a smile and appropriate hospitality greeting.
• Ensure all vehicle keys are clearly identified and stored in a locked location.
• Provide detailed parking fees and a clear explanation of valet benefits.
• Ensure entrance areas are free from congestion by parking cars expediently.
• Complete thorough walk-arounds of guest vehicles prior to parking and highlight any damage.
• Provide guests with information about hotel facilities, dining, local transportation, and attractions.
• Remove items from stored vehicles and perform other miscellaneous services as requested.
• Assist in fire alarms by fulfilling duties as outlined in the hotel fire response manual.
• Report any suspicious or unusual behavior or occurrences to the appropriate supervisor and security.
• Adhere strictly to Fairmont Service Standard Expectations for valet parking.
• Observe, report, or take corrective action on deficiencies, malfunctions, and untidiness.
• Operate all types of vehicles, including manual and regular transmissions.
