About The Position

Converge Medical Technology is seeking a persistent and driven VA Follow-Up Specialist to join their team. This role is crucial in ensuring that veterans receive their medical devices by facilitating the approval process with the VA. The specialist will spend their day making outbound calls to VA facilities across the country to track the status of pending approvals, identify any roadblocks, and ensure the process moves forward. Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required.
1+ years of high-volume phone experience (outbound calling, follow-up, collections, scheduling, insurance verification, authorization follow-up, or a comparable environment).
Comfort working a structured daily call list independently.
Ability to handle confidential patient and business information appropriately, in accordance with HIPAA and company policies.

Nice To Haves

Higher education is welcome.
Experience with Salesforce or a similar system preferred.
Healthcare, DME, or VA experience helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

Call assigned VA facilities on a regular three-to-five day cycle to check the status of every pending approval.
Navigate VA phone systems, queues, and transfers to reach the appropriate contact person.
Build contacts and shortcuts to improve efficiency of future calls.
Determine the status of each approval and identify any holding it up.
Log the status, any barrier, and the next follow-up date in Salesforce.
Pass cases requiring documentation or administrative work to the appropriate team.
Inform the manager of any facility process changes or repeating problems.
Perform other duties as assigned.
