About The Position

STC is seeking a Product Owner to lead the Consolidated Cumulus User Experience (Dashboard) team within the EOSDIS Evolution and Development (EED) program. The program supports NASA's Earth Science Data and Information System (ESDIS) in providing global, open access to Earth observation data. The UX Product Owner is responsible for end-to-end delivery and operational health of the Cumulus Dashboard and its underlying infrastructure. The role bridges specialized train leads and a multidisciplinary implementation team, translating architectural direction into secure, compliant, high-performing production code for Dashboard users. The position reports to the I&A Product Manager.

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience serving as a Product Owner for a cloud-native user experience or dashboard product team.
Experience leading technical teams, including development, infrastructure, testing, and DevOps/CI/CD, in a complex systems environment.
Ability to synthesize requirements from architects and systems engineers into actionable task backlogs.
Experience maintaining operational security standards under formal or informal Service Level Agreements.
Expert understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and production deployment workflows.
Ability to track system metrics and provide data-driven inputs for cost modeling and resource planning.
Must be a U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident/Green Card holder.

Responsibilities

Ensure team roadmaps support the I&A train's and ESDIS' portfolio-level objectives.
Oversee and prioritize the work of the UX Development and UX System Operations teams to meet sprint goals and ensure system reliability.
Own and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and escalate degradation events to I&A leadership.
Provide inputs to cost model planning and resource allocation.
Work with the Systems Architect and Systems Engineer to translate architectural principles into actionable UX system-level requirements and features.
Monitor system metrics and oversee operational reporting to keep the Dashboard stable and secure.
Ensure recurring compliance with the Dashboard and UX environment's Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Serve as the final gatekeeper for promoting code changes into production environments.
Collaborate with UX development teams and quality assurance to ensure the Dashboard meets functional and quality expectations.
