About The Position

Bloomberg’s UX team researches user needs and goals and turns those insights into usable software across desktop, web, and mobile. The team works on the Bloomberg Terminal, premium desktop and web products, and internal technology platforms, partnering with product and technology teams to deliver its design vision. The UX Design Team Lead leads designers for a Bloomberg business vertical. The role sets team strategy, balances near-term delivery with longer-term direction, and partners with Product, Engineering, and senior leaders to drive delivery, outcomes, and impact. The lead also advances department-wide UX initiatives, establishes team processes and practices, and mentors and coaches team members. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong design skills and the ability to make complex systems intuitive and valuable while bringing clarity to ambiguous problems. The lead partners closely with end users and subject matter experts, takes ownership of a domain, and shapes conceptual frameworks, interaction design, and the overall user experience for new products and major enhancements. The work spans research, design, collaboration with business and engineering teams, and support for implementation. Bloomberg seeks a collaborative, self-starting leader with a growth mindset.
