About The Position

ProDrivers, a nationwide company specializing in helping Truck Drivers find jobs, is seeking a Utilization Specialist in Raleigh, NC. While transportation knowledge is a plus, a robust in-house training program covers DOT regulations. The role involves managing a roster of 25-50 active drivers, focusing on outbound recruiting, hiring, and placing unassigned drivers to meet talent acquisition goals. This position also assists with onboarding orientations and is responsible for the high-quality filling of CDL and Non-CDL driver positions, with accountability to specific KPIs. The role is crucial for driver retention and ensuring drivers are supported by their respective branch locations. In addition to maintaining a pipeline of new hires, the Utilization Specialist is responsible for retention and successful placement of drivers.

Requirements

  • Transportation knowledge is a plus.
  • Ability to manage a roster of up to and/or at least 25-50 active drivers.
  • Experience with outbound recruiting efforts.
  • Experience with hiring and placement of drivers.
  • Ability to conduct onboarding orientations.

  • Experience with resume search sites.
  • Experience with sources such as Indeed, Tenstreet archived applicants, Termed drivers in CRM, and social media sites like LinkedIn.
  • Ability to send personalized recruitment emails and messages.
  • Ability to schedule and conduct interviews.
  • Familiarity with VOE collection.
  • Familiarity with drug screens.
  • Knowledge of necessary screening and hiring guidelines.
  • Ability to perform second eyes review for compliance and safety standards.
  • Ability to assist locally with file processing of rush hires, quick rehires, and file corrections.
  • Ability to call drivers not yet placed on dispatch.
  • Skill marketing drivers to clients.
  • Ability to add drivers to dispatch.
  • Ability to conduct 'Fresh Eyes' review.
  • Ability to aid in retention efforts of existing drivers.
  • Proficiency in documenting all conversations in Tenstreet and/or CRM.
  • Experience with client outreach.
  • Ability to provide written feedback and CRM documentation.
  • Ability to attend all whiteboard meetings.
  • Ability to provide feedback to sales and operations.
  • Ability to review metrics from Utilization Dashboard in CRM and determined KPIs.

Responsibilities

  • Outbound recruiting via resume search sites and other platforms (approximately 40% of time).
  • Actively seek and identify potential candidates per SOP and guide them to online application submission through Tenstreet.
  • Utilize sources such as Indeed, Tenstreet archived applicants, Termed drivers in CRM, and social media sites like LinkedIn.
  • Partner with Client Services and START team on potential candidates sourced for branch needs.
  • Send personalized recruitment emails and messages.
  • Attend and host job fairs or other industry events once or twice a quarter.
  • Conduct interviews for scheduled and unscheduled applicants (approximately 25% of time).
  • Facilitate in-person introductions to the Ops team during the interview process.
  • Assist in moving driver files forward in the hiring process with support from Utilization Managers, including VOE collection, drug screens, and ensuring compliance with screening and hiring guidelines (approximately 15% of time).
  • Provide a second review for compliance and safety standards.
  • Assist locally with file processing for rush hires, quick rehires, and file corrections.
  • Call drivers not yet placed on dispatch to assist with skill marketing to clients, verify contact information, and discuss availability and work preferences if jobs were refused (approximately 10% of time).
  • Assure drivers that the branch is actively working to find them employment.
  • Skill market drivers to current and upcoming clients.
  • Add drivers to dispatch once an assignment is established.
  • Conduct a 'Fresh Eyes' review before officially handing off to Ops.
  • Aid in retention efforts for existing drivers.
  • Document all conversations in Tenstreet and/or CRM.
  • Engage in client outreach for order fulfillment and satisfaction efforts (approximately 10% of time).
  • Skill market drivers to current and upcoming clients.
  • Provide written feedback and CRM documentation after each client call.
  • Commit to calling a specified number of clients per sitting and newly hired drivers each week to secure placement.
  • Attend all whiteboard meetings.
  • Provide feedback to sales and operations from driver contact regarding availability, job needs, recruiting needs, active driver utilization, and driver feedback on refused orders.
  • Review branch utilization metrics weekly from the CRM Utilization Dashboard and determined KPIs.
  • Compare CRM Data with the Branch Dispatch Roster.
  • Determine the necessary activities for the week based on metrics.
  • Assist with Ops PTO coverage.
