About The Position

ProDrivers, a nationwide company specializing in helping Truck Drivers find jobs, is seeking a Field Recruiter in Catoosa, OK. While transportation knowledge is a plus, robust in-house training covers DOT regulations. The role is focused on serving truck drivers and communities, seeking individuals with a passion for people. The Utilization Specialist is responsible for managing a roster of 25-50 active drivers, conducting outbound recruiting, hiring, and placing unassigned drivers to attract and retain top talent. This role also involves assisting with onboarding orientations for new hires at branch locations. The position is critical for filling CDL and Non-CDL driver positions, meeting specific KPIs, and ensuring driver retention and fit with clients, while also providing support from respective branch locations. In addition to maintaining a pipeline of new hires, the role focuses on retention and successful placement.

Responsibilities

  • Outbound recruiting via resume search sites and other platforms (approximately 40% of time).
  • Actively seek and identify potential candidates per SOP and guide them to submit online applications through Tenstreet.
  • Utilize sources such as Indeed, Tenstreet archived applicants, Termed drivers in CRM, and social media sites like LinkedIn.
  • Partner with Client Services and START team on potential candidates sourced for branch needs.
  • Send personalized recruitment emails and messages.
  • Attend and host job fairs or other industry events once or twice a quarter.
  • Conduct interviews for qualified applicants (approximately 25% of time).
  • Schedule interviews for qualified applicants based on determined needs.
  • Conduct interviews for both scheduled and unscheduled applicants.
  • Facilitate in-person introductions to the Ops team during the interview process.
  • Manage driver files, moving them forward in the hiring process with support from Utilization Managers (15% of time).
  • Collect VOE (Verification of Employment).
  • Coordinate drug screens.
  • Ensure all necessary screening and hiring guidelines are met.
  • Provide a second review for compliance and safety standards.
  • Assist locally with file processing for rush hires, quick rehires, and file corrections.
  • Conduct driver touch calls and provide dispatch support (10% of time).
  • Call drivers not yet placed on dispatch to assist with skill marketing to clients.
  • Verify contact information.
  • Inquire about availability and work preferences if drivers have refused offered jobs.
  • Assure drivers that the branch is actively working to find them employment.
  • Skill market drivers to current and upcoming clients.
  • Add drivers to dispatch once an assignment is established.
  • Officially hand off drivers to Ops after a 'Fresh Eyes' review.
  • Aid in retention efforts for existing drivers.
  • Document all conversations in Tenstreet and/or CRM based on their employment stage.
  • Engage in client outreach (10% of time).
  • Focus on order fulfillment and client satisfaction.
  • Skill market drivers to current and upcoming clients.
  • Provide written feedback and CRM documentation after each client call.
  • Commit to calling a specified number of clients per session and newly hired drivers each week to secure placement.
  • Attend all whiteboard meetings.
  • Provide feedback to sales and operations based on driver contact regarding availability, job needs, recruiting needs, active driver utilization, and driver feedback on refused orders.
  • Review branch utilization metrics weekly.
  • Analyze metrics from the Utilization Dashboard in CRM and determined KPIs.
  • Compare CRM data with the Branch Dispatch Roster.
  • Determine the week's necessary activities based on metrics.
  • Assist with Ops PTO coverage.
