About The Position

Domtar is seeking a Utility worker for its Glenwood, Arkansas location. This is a full-time, permanent position. The role involves cleaning mill floors and equipment, clearing accessible wood debris, and performing basic tally-sheet math. Work takes place indoors and outdoors, in all weather conditions, and requires following lockout/tagout and fall-protection procedures.

Requirements

• Ability to constantly bend and twist the body.
• Ability to constantly reach with the arms and use the hands to maneuver material.
• Ability to stand continuously on asphalt or concrete.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to climb several flights of expanded-metal stairs several times per day.
• Willingness to work some weekends.

Nice To Haves

• One year of mill manufacturing experience or experience in an industrial setting is preferred.
• Ability to work day and/or night shift hours, with overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Clean the mill floor while the mill is running using brooms, shovels, and wheelbarrows.
• Clean up accessible wood debris and run it through the chipper using axes and chain saws.
• Clean sawmill equipment after the mill shuts down, following proper lockout/tagout and fall-protection procedures.
• Perform basic math, including counting, addition, and multiplication, for tally sheets.
• Work respectfully with others.

• Base pay of $18.03 per hour.
