About The Position

Performs a wide variety of work requiring mechanical aptitude, including unskilled and limited semi-skilled activities. Assists with the installation, maintenance, and repair of hospital equipment and painting. Work is performed under the immediate direction of an employee of a higher classification, although routine and repetitive tasks may be carried out under general supervision once learned.

This position is in Plant Operations at EvergreenHealth in Kirkland, Washington. It is a full-time, day-hours position scheduled for 40 hours per week and is covered by a collective bargaining agreement between EvergreenHealth and the International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE), Local 286. The posted wage range is $27.01–$35.27 per hour.

Requirements

• High school graduation or equivalent.
• Current Washington State driver’s license and proof of insurability.
• Mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Repairs and maintains simple electrical, plumbing, and mechanical devices and systems.
• Helps move and set up furniture and other equipment to support other departments.
• Inspects buildings and equipment for needed repairs as directed.
• Determines the proper course of action and implements repairs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Assists with installation, maintenance, and repair of hospital equipment and painting.
