About The Position

A new chapter is beginning at Hyatt Centric Congress Avenue Austin and Peachtree Group. Located in the heart of downtown Austin, our hotel places guests and team members at the center of everything that makes the city unforgettable. We are seeking talented, hospitality-driven professionals who bring great energy, innovative ideas, and authentic Austin spirit to every guest experience. As a Utility Worker, you play a vital behind-the-scenes role in our Food & Beverage operation. You’ll help maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, support dishwashing and sanitation, and assist with basic kitchen prep and deliveries. Your efforts directly contribute to a safe, efficient, and guest-ready environment.

Requirements

No previous experience required, we will train you!
Strong work ethic and a willingness to help wherever needed.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, hot, and physically demanding environment.
Must be able to stand, walk, and lift up to 50lbs throughout the shift.
Reliable, punctual, and team oriented.
Flexible schedule availability, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using industrial dish machines and manual methods.
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, walls, trash areas, and workstations.
Ensure proper storage and organization of all kitchen items and clean equipment.
Empty trash and recycling and replace liners in a timely manner.
Assist with unloading and organizing food and supply deliveries.
Support cooks and chefs with basic prep and kitchen maintenance tasks as needed.
Follow all safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures in accordance with brand and health department standards.
Communicate supply needs, equipment issues, or safety concerns to supervisors.
