About The Position

Denver Arts & Venues is seeking a Utility Worker I to perform a variety of unskilled work and light to heavy physical labor in support of various construction, maintenance, repair, and operational functions. This role involves performing unskilled, light to heavy physical labor on a variety of construction, maintenance, and repair projects that involves physical exertion and the use of manual tools and limited use of small power operated tools. The Utility Worker I will operate light weight equipment powered by small engines used for maintenance, cleaning, and minor construction projects. Responsibilities include lifting and emptying heavy solid waste containers into disposal trucks, operating a hydraulic compaction unit on city trash collection vehicles, and washing trucks as needed. The role also involves event set up and strike down, including transporting chairs, tables, and other items, as well as assembling, moving, removing, and relocating furniture, furnishings, and equipment, and repairing and storing articles of furniture. The Utility Worker I will also perform landscaping/groundskeeper activities, including snow removal.
