About The Position

We are an award-winning employer seeking a Utility Steward (Dishwasher) to play an essential role in the daily operations of our kitchen within a luxury senior living residence. This is an important support position that goes beyond dishwashing and helps keep our culinary team running smoothly and safely. In this role, you’ll help maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment by washing and sanitizing kitchen equipment, china, glassware, and flatware, as well as supporting overall back-of-house operations. You’ll assist with the safe use and storage of cleaning chemicals and kitchen equipment, support food rotation and labeling, and help with the breakdown, organization, and storage of fresh food deliveries. You may also assist with special projects or help support our restaurants as needed. Requirements

  • Full-time

  • 12:00pm-8:00pm or 2:00pm-10:00pm shift
  • Weekend, and holiday availability required
  • Ability to maintain sanitation and cleanliness of kitchen, equipment supplies, pots/pans, small wares, china glass and silver according to established safety standards and regulations.
  • Ability to clean kitchen floors, following standard procedures.
  • Ability to apply knowledge and safe use and storage of chemicals and equipment.
  • Ability to maintain and record data on required logs per Mather policies and procedures.
  • Ability to complete daily and weekly cleaning assignments per task lists.
  • Ability to regularly empty trash containers shift, clean garbage cans and properly operate compactor.
  • Ability to minimize loss and breakage through proper use, cleaning and storage of equipment and supplies.
