About The Position

We are an award‑winning employer seeking a Utility Steward (Dishwasher) to play an essential role in the daily operations of our kitchen within a luxury senior living residence. This is an important support position that goes beyond dishwashing and helps keep our culinary team running smoothly and safely. In this role, you’ll help maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment by washing and sanitizing kitchen equipment, china, glassware, and flatware, as well as supporting overall back‑of‑house operations. You’ll assist with the safe use and storage of cleaning chemicals and kitchen equipment, support food rotation and labeling, and help with the breakdown, organization, and storage of fresh food deliveries. You may also assist with special projects or help support our restaurants as needed. Requirements

  • Full-time
  • Flexible days
  • 12:00pm-8:00pm or 2:00pm-10:00pm shift
  • Weekend, and holiday availability required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains sanitation and cleanliness of kitchen, equipment supplies, pots/pans, small wares, china glass and silver according to established safety standards and regulations.
  • Cleans kitchen floors, following standard procedures.
  • Applies knowledge and safe use and storage of chemicals and equipment.
  • Maintains and records data on required logs per Mather policies and procedures.
  • Completes daily and weekly cleaning assignments per task lists.
  • Regularly empties trash containers shift, cleans garbage cans and properly operates compactor.
  • Minimizes loss and breakage through proper use, cleaning and storage of equipment and supplies.
