Utility Representative - Full Time - Freeman West
About The Position
The Utility Representative works in Nutrition Services at Freeman West. The role spends most of each shift washing and sanitizing dishes, trays, pots, pans, and utensils; operating the dish machine and three-compartment sink; returning clean items to appropriate storage and service areas; and cleaning and sanitizing dish-room and kitchen spaces, floors, carts, equipment, and work areas. The employee also removes trash and cardboard, maintains orderly disposal areas, follows food-safety, sanitation, and workplace-safety procedures, and assists with stocking, transporting supplies, and other assigned Nutrition Services duties. Most of the shift is spent standing in the dish room, where the employee is exposed to heat, steam, water, food residue, cleaning chemicals, and noise. This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes, trays, pots, pans, and utensils.
- Operate the dish machine and use the three-compartment sink as required.
- Return clean items to their proper storage and service areas.
- Clean and sanitize the dish room, kitchen floors, carts, equipment, and work areas.
- Remove trash and cardboard and keep disposal areas orderly.
- Follow food-safety, sanitation, and workplace-safety procedures.
- Assist with stocking, transporting supplies, and other related Nutrition Services duties as assigned.
