About The Position
The Patient Safety Attendant works in the Float Pool at Freeman West on a full-time night schedule. The attendant completes patient care tasks, including bathing, changing linens, monitoring vital signs, glucose testing, and other duties assigned by the nurse.
Requirements
- Hold current Missouri CNA certification or successfully complete the Freeman UAP program within 90 days of hire.
- Successfully pass Patient Care Orientation (PCO) within 30 days of hire.
- Obtain AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers within 60 days.
- Complete the Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training Program (CPI) within 180 days.
- Complete NT Competency Day annually by the transcript due date.
Nice To Haves
- Current Missouri CNA license or documented proof of passing the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services Certified Nurse Assessment Competency upon hire.
Responsibilities
- Complete patient care, including bathing and linen changes.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs.
- Perform glucose testing.
- Complete other tasks as assigned by the nurse.
