About The Position
This role is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the Nutrition Services department, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for food preparation and service. The Utility Representative will handle the washing and sanitizing of dishes, trays, pots, pans, and utensils, operate dishwashing equipment, and maintain the cleanliness of the dish room, kitchen, and related areas. This position also involves assisting with stocking and transporting supplies, and adhering to all food safety and sanitation standards.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes, trays, pots, pans, and utensils.
- Operate the dish machine and use the three-compartment sink.
- Return clean items to proper storage and service areas.
- Clean and sanitize the dish room, kitchen floors, carts, equipment, and work areas.
- Remove trash and cardboard and keep disposal areas orderly.
- Follow food-safety, sanitation, and workplace-safety procedures.
- Assist with stocking and transporting supplies.
- Perform other related Nutrition Services duties as assigned.
