About The Position
The Utility Porter is responsible for cleaning and servicing assigned areas according to management’s cleanliness standards, helping provide Guests with a clean, comfortable, safe, and attractive environment. The role supports and promotes Company Service Standards and maintains clean public areas, including carpet shampooing, detail cleaning, dusting, window cleaning, hazard cleanup, and floor stripping and waxing as needed. The position uses assigned cleaning equipment and products and may involve working indoors or outdoors, using a ladder, and working in conditions that may be hot, cold, noisy, dusty, or exposed to secondhand smoke.
Requirements
- Communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members, and Management in written and verbal form.
- Work indoors and outdoors and tolerate environmental factors such as noise, dust, and secondhand smoke.
- Work with cleaning products, chemicals, and solvents using company-provided safety equipment.
- Read and speak English.
- Have normal corrective vision, see color, and distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols.
- Lift and move up to 70 pounds to perform inspector and utility duties as needed.
- Have the manual dexterity to operate job-related equipment, including vacuums, cleaning supplies, and safety equipment.

- At least 1 to 6 months of related experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Practice, support, and promote Company Service Standards.
- Maintain a clean environment at all times.
- Shampoo carpets.
- Clean high and low areas, which may involve using a ladder.
- Clean hazards and windows and perform upper and lower dusting.
- Perform detail cleaning in public areas.
- Strip and wax floors as necessary.
- Use assigned extractors, wet vacuums, steamers, cleaners, and shampooers.
