About The Position

The Housekeeping Utility Porter cleans and services assigned areas according to management’s cleanliness standards to provide Guests with a clean, comfortable, safe, and attractive environment. The role includes maintaining public areas and using assigned cleaning equipment and products. Work may take place indoors or outdoors and in environments that are unusually hot, cold, noisy, dusty, or exposed to secondhand smoke.

Requirements

• Communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members, and Management in written and verbal form.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors and be exposed to environmental factors including noise, dust, and secondhand smoke.
• Ability to work with cleaning products, chemicals, and solvents using company-provided safety equipment.
• Ability to read and speak English.
• Normal or corrected vision, ability to see color, and ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols.
• Ability to lift and move up to 70 pounds.
• Manual dexterity to operate job-related equipment, including vacuums, cleaning supplies, and safety equipment.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 to 6 months of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Practice, support, and promote the Company Service Standards at all times.
• Maintain a clean environment at all times.
• Shampoo carpet.
• Clean high and low areas, including using a ladder when required.
• Clean hazards and windows, and perform upper and lower dusting.
• Perform detailed cleaning of public areas.
• Strip and wax floors as necessary.
• Use the extractor, wet vacuum, steamer, cleaner, and shampooer as assigned.
