About The Position

The Utility Person supports daily plant, quarry, yard, and production operations to help ensure efficient workflow. The role involves operating equipment and performing general labor, inspecting and cleaning equipment and work areas, assisting with basic repairs, and moving materials as needed. The employee follows safety procedures, environmental requirements, and company policies while contributing to team success.

The position operates primarily in environments with moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise levels. Successful candidates must complete a post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require ongoing FMCSA-regulated drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Support daily plant, quarry, yard, and production operations to ensure efficient workflow.
• Operate equipment and perform general labor duties safely and productively.
• Inspect and clean equipment and work areas, perform maintenance, and assist with basic repairs.
• Load, unload, stock, and move materials to support business operations.
• Follow safety procedures, environmental requirements, and company policies.
• Contribute to team success and support operational needs across multiple functions.
