Requirements

Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Ability to lift heavy objects.

Responsibilities

Operate dishwashing machines.
Ensure dishwasher temperature is within the specified range and the chemicals are properly connected to the machine.
Properly clean and disinfect the dishwashing machine.
Sweep and mop floors. Check for broken items on the floor and wet areas that may be hazardous, and remove the hazard.
Clean walls, table, racks, sink, floor mats, and disposal areas.
Clean ovens, hoods, filters, drains, hot boxes, and ceiling vents.
Empty all trash cans.
Perform special cleaning projects as assigned.
Understand and use safety procedures when using all equipment. Understands chemical hazards and follows safety procedures when using chemicals, chemical compounds, and cleaning products.
Know the correct temperature for washing, rinsing, and pre-soaking of all pots, pans, utensils, plates, and glasses.
Receive deliveries and place stock items in the proper area.
Follow proper sanitation procedures for sanitizing items that are unable to be washed in the dishwasher.
Maintain the cleanliness of the loading dock and dumpster area.
Adhere to all work rules, procedures, and policies established by the hotel, including, but not limited to, those contained in the employee handbook.
The hotel operates 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Department schedules must accommodate fluctuating business demands, and employees may be asked to work shifts other than those they prefer or normally work.
