About The Position

The Utility Person I supports safe and efficient workflow at a quarry or plant through communication with plant employees and a variety of labor, service, inspection, maintenance, and cleanup tasks. Work includes grounds upkeep, shoveling, organizing parts, and assisting with maintenance and area cleanup, which make up much of the role. The position may occasionally operate small mobile equipment and perform other duties as requested.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Highly dependable and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.
• Successful completion of a post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
• Some positions require ongoing FMCSA-regulated drug and alcohol testing.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of prior experience in the aggregate industry.
• Experience in aggregate plant operation and maintenance.
• Prior experience operating mobile equipment and machinery, such as a man reach, telehandler, or skid steer.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with other plant employees to support an efficient and safe workflow.
• Perform grounds upkeep, shoveling, and organization of parts.
• Assist with maintenance work and area cleanup.
• Perform a variety of service, inspection, or labor operations throughout the quarry or plants.
• Occasionally operate small mobile equipment.
• Perform other duties as requested.
