Assist in daily operations of the Finishing Department. This role involves participating in training, embracing and practicing STOP Safety Program fundamentals to achieve a zero-accident rate. The Utility Operator retrieves necessary set-up information, specifications, and guidelines from job jackets and follows instructions. They safely, efficiently, and effectively assist with assigned production machinery equipment, monitoring quality, production, and waste while adhering to customer specifications. The role also includes ensuring the immediate work area and areas for which the Machine Operator has responsibility are free of clutter and debris, performing cleaning and sanitation responsibilities safely with required solutions and protective equipment, and monitoring all quality requirements as outlined by company procedure and specification. The Utility Operator completes necessary sheets for quality checks, actively participates in safety programs, completes required safety observations, and understands and follows plant safety rules. They attend and participate in all scheduled meetings, are able to work all scheduled shifts and required overtime hours, and train new employees as necessary. Other duties may be assigned.
