About The Position

The Utility Operator is responsible for the assembly of product, ensuring the quality and quantity of work, and maintaining an organized work area. This role involves setting up racks and/or baskets for materials, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring the safety and training of others. The operator must comply with all documented procedures and the employee handbook, while also being responsible for the quality and quantity of the finished product. A key aspect of this role is creating and maintaining a positive working team environment and upholding good housekeeping standards. Additionally, the Utility Operator performs routine preventative maintenance on associated equipment and is expected to manage safety, quality, and production with limited supervision. The position also requires performing other assigned tasks as needed by the Team Leader, practicing safe working habits, and adhering to safety procedures, policies, and Job Safety Analysis (JSA). A commitment to continuous improvement of product quality and ISO 9001:2015 standards is also essential.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift to 60 pounds approximately 70% of the time.
  • Must be able to operate overhead crane and be forklift certified.
  • Need to follow safety guidelines.
  • Have good housekeeping skills and work well with others.
  • Must be able to read blueprints.

  • Responsible for maintaining good housekeeping.

  • Perform any other tasks as needed/assigned by Team Leader.
