This position is responsible for assisting the overall operation of production on their shift. The following list of responsibilities and requirements is not intended to be comprehensive and may be modified at any time by Human Resources, in response to current business needs. The Utility Operator receives training and performs duties in several departments such as Raw Receiving, Load Out, and Feather Loader/Cook. They will learn plant proper operating procedures and practices in each department, assist in setting individual performance goals and objectives with their Supervisor, and observe experienced workers to acquire knowledge of methods, procedures, and standards required for performance of departmental duties. They will receive training in functions and operations of all departments to facilitate subsequent transferability between departments and to provide greater job opportunities, and attend company-sponsored training classes. The role requires abiding by all company Safety, QA and Human Resource policies.
