Requirements

Requires ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
Perform routine repetitive tasks.
Read weights and scales.
Sufficient mathematical ability to perform mathematical calculations, plot data and make statistically based decisions.
Willing to become certified to operate a pallet jack.
Must be able and willing to work overtime and weekends if needed.
6 months work history with the same employer.
6 months of machine operator experience.
Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 365 days and are limited to 3 times of employment.

Responsibilities

Assist in line start-up, remove trash and relieve when necessary.
Assist in line set up prior to start-up, stock line with packaging materials such as bags, boxes, strapping, tape, clips, etc.
Fill in for line worker as necessary.
Pack and palletize cases of cooked food products.
Label boxes as needed.
Notify supervisor and or operation specialist if machinery not operating properly.
Keep work area clean and observe Tyson/USDA safety and sanitation rules.
Utilize proper lifting techniques to avoid injury to themselves and others.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
Operate pallet jack and perform other duties as required or assigned.
Monitor and control key product control points such as weight, size, temperature, etc.
