About The Position

Leads, oversees, and assists utility crews in the performance of manual tasks including installation, repair, and general maintenance pertaining to waste water lines and/or sewage plants/lift stations as well as equipment. Provides leadership and coordination of materials to perform projects and daily maintenance work. Ensures that proper traffic control and safety requirements are being followed. Must have the ability to make an assessment and an appropriate decision to perform the assigned project. May assist other crews in customer service compliance with waste water related issues. May be subject to call out service after hours. Must have and maintain, without interruption, all necessary licenses, certifications, clearances, and/or job requirements. Work the assigned schedule and comply with City timekeeping and attendance policy. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1-2 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must be in good physical condition; position requires constant physical labor
  • Proven leadership
  • Valid Texas driver's license (Class B may be required) and good driving record
  • Must have and maintain, without interruption, all necessary licenses, certifications, clearances, and/or job requirements.

Responsibilities
