About The Position
A utility lighting helper assists in the construction, maintenance, and repair of utility-owned streetlights. This role involves working safely on new construction, maintenance, or repair tasks related to utility-owned streetlights. The position requires the ability to follow directions, identify voltage levels, support safety initiatives, set up work zones according to DOT standards, and understand basic line work principles. These duties are not exhaustive and may evolve based on company priorities.
Requirements
- Understand equipment and work site set up and grounding.
- Accurately perform basic math calculations including addition, subtraction, fractions, decimals, multiplication, division, and the use of measurements.
- Proficiency in critical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
- Ability to communicate effectively (written, verbal and nonverbal).
- Self-motivation, organization, and prioritization management.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to obtain CDL A.

Responsibilities
