Requirements

Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Available to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
Able to stand and walk for long periods of time on varying types of terrain; bend and stoop; lift heavy items up to 75 lbs.
Proficiency with technology.
Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.
Able to pass a drug screen (this is a safety-sensitive position).
Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record required.
Ability to use simple hand tools.
Ability to read a utility map.

Nice To Haves

Previous outdoor experience is a plus.
Customer service experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Visually inspect gas meters for leaks and corrosion.
Ensure all required paperwork and data are completed accurately.
Report to the assigned work area on time at the start of each shift.
Identify any abnormal operating conditions during on-site inspections.
Accurately fill out all forms associated with the inspection visit (electronic or paper).
