About The Position

Utz Quality Foods is hiring a Utility III for its Weekend Day Shift team in Hanover, Pennsylvania. The role supports snack production by operating and monitoring equipment used to produce cheese curls and cheese balls. It is a hands-on manufacturing position involving equipment operation, material handling, production records, and cleaning. The schedule is Friday through Sunday, 5:55 a.m. to 5:55 p.m., for a three-day workweek. The position requires working proactively with a cross-functional team and following Good Manufacturing Practices.

Requirements

• Basic math and reading skills.
• Knowledge of packing preparation procedures and product storage locations, acquired through one month of on-the-job training.
• Ability to perform moderate lifting of up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to use pulling or pumping jacks carrying up to 250 pounds.
• Ability to lift at least 85 pounds to head height on occasion.
• Ability to pay constant attention to maintain accurate records of items moved.

Responsibilities

• Unload potatoes.
• Maintain and operate a forklift.
• Operate the Spudnik.
• Participate in required cleaning.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Work proactively with cross-functional teams and diverse groups of people.
• Pay close attention to maintain accurate records of items moved.
• Check the computer for scanning errors.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
