About The Position

This posting is for a potential future opening(s) with Entergy. This posting is to build a candidate pool, should the opening(s) become available. The Utility Foreman will supervise, coordinate, and assist in the construction and repair of both overhead and underground distribution. This role involves responding to and resolving customer issues in a timely and professional manner, providing leadership and training to line and service personnel, and championing safe work practices to ensure compliance with Company Safety Rules. The position aims to ensure network goals and objectives are met or exceeded, and requires the ability to manage all SO/SR/WR's in DIS/DSS, organize work, and manage multiple tasks and inputs simultaneously. The Foreman must work with others and maintain a positive attitude in extreme working conditions, with a strong attention to detail focused on safety and accuracy to direct construction/repair crews safely and construct/restore the electric system efficiently. Additional responsibilities include assisting in Network operations, storm restorations, operating AM/FM, and directing contract crews. The role also involves motivating and influencing a diverse and geographically dispersed workforce dealing with a wide variety of safety and training issues, and assuming Line Supervisor's duties for a short time in their absence.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 8 years of line experience or equivalent.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to take and understand directives and complete tasks.
Required to work safely and follow all Entergy safety policies and procedures.
Excellent leadership skills.
Strong decision making skills.
Ability to manage multiple activities and changing priorities.
Self motivated and dependable team player.

Ability to maintain and care for Company equipment properly and safeguard assets.
Class A Commercial driver's license.
