Full Time Temporary Utility Electric Meter Installer
About The Position
We are conducting electric meter upgrades in the Calgary area for Fortis Alberta, and are hiring Full Time Temporary Electric Meter Installers! Applicants need to be at least 18 years of age, hold a valid driver’s license and have a clean criminal and driving history. NO EXPERIENCE is required with paid training! If you consider yourself an independent worker and enjoy being outside, this job is for you! All of our field staff are provided with: Safety gear including company boot (allowance), vests, glasses, etc. Company vehicle Paid training at $31.35/hour, up to a total of $250.80 for a full day Will be transitioned to piece rate once training is successfully completed, unlocking your earning potential!
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- Valid driver’s license
- Clean criminal and driving history
- Must be able to walk up to 5-10 km per day
- Must be able to complete a Readme test at 100%

Responsibilities
- Installing single phase electric meters by replacing an existing meter (change-out).
- Installing the new meter and meter module to automate the process of reading a meter for accurate consumption and billing.
