About The Position

Utility positions at SSP America help keep restaurants and units at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport clean and sanitized for guests and team members. The role focuses on maintaining hygienic work areas and a clean, safe environment. The restaurant portfolio includes brands such as Ballard Brew Hall, Mi Casa Cantina, Greedy Cow, Pei Wei, and Bad Egg.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience working in a retail or food service environment.
Verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to read, speak, and understand English to communicate with guests and receive instructions.
Experience dealing with problems involving guest service.
Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long periods.

High school diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

Clean and maintain hygienic work areas to create a positive guest experience.
Maintain the cleanliness of surfaces and equipment, including floors, ceiling tiles, walls, windows, worktables, hoods, vents, grills, refrigerators, service counters, and storage areas.
Remove refuse to designated areas.
Clear and reset dining-area tables between seatings as needed and transport service-ware to the kitchen for cleaning.
Scrape food from dirty dishes, pots, and pans; wash them by hand or load them into a dishwasher, then return them to their proper storage place.
Clean equipment using specific chemicals to meet sanitary standards, which may include operating heavy equipment.
Assist guests with specific requests and communicate special needs to a server or supervisor.
Load and unload supply trucks and transfer supplies between storage and work areas.
Stock, date, rotate, and check the temperature of food items.
