About The Position

The Utility/Deburr Operator is responsible for deburring and honing parts, packing parts, and washing and dipping parts. This role also involves the ability to learn drilling, tapping, and flanging. The operator must maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations. Additionally, the position may involve receiving, validating, and processing incoming parts from outside sources, including notifying purchasing of discrepancies, entering transactions into E2, and handling necessary paperwork. The role also includes any other tasks assigned by management.

Requirements

Able to read job travelers.
Able to work in a team oriented, fast paced environment.
Able to punch in and out as needed on computers.
Able to effectively use computers.
Have solid basic math skills.
Good listening, problem sensitivity, quick response reaching time, arm-hand steadiness and rate control.
Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining and entering accurate information in B&B ERP system.
Analyzing information and evaluation results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
Providing information to supervisors and co-workers via telephone, written form, e-mail or in person.
The ability to meet strict deadlines or be able to communicate those that cannot be met.
Must follow all safety procedures and policies as mandated by B&B.
Ability to stand on hard surface for the entire work shift.
Frequent walking.

Responsibilities

Deburr parts as needed using proper tools.
Hone parts.
Pack parts.
Wash and dip parts.
Learn to drill, tap and flange.
Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
Occasionally receive, validate, and process incoming parts from outside sources.
Notify purchasing of missing/discrepant packing slips.
Enter transactions into E2.
Handle and process all necessary paperwork.
Any other task assigned by management.
