Utility Assembler on Second shift
About The Position
Oakworks Inc. is hiring a Utility Assembler to work across multiple areas of its production floor, producing and assembling metal, fabric, or wooden components for medical and spa products. The role calls for a strong aptitude for learning and a positive attitude, and offers cross-training opportunities to support career advancement. Pay increases as employees train in additional areas: $1.00 per hour after training in three areas, an additional $0.50 per hour after five areas, and an additional $0.50 per hour after eight areas. The stated starting rate is $22.50 per hour. The position is based at Oakworks Inc. in New Freedom, Pennsylvania. It is full-time, second shift, with a four-day workweek from Monday through Thursday, 10 hours per day. No travel is required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to demonstrate mechanical ability, including reading drawings, assembling electrical and mechanical components, and validating quality.
- Ability to communicate and work with multiple departments.
- Ability to sit, walk, or stand for extended periods daily.
- Ability to lift, reach, bend, and stretch in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to use a computer for extended periods daily.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
Nice To Haves
- Two or more years of experience in electrical or mechanical assembly.
- Experience in medical product development or another regulated assembly industry.
- Understanding of traditional manufacturing processes, with machining and fabricating experience preferred.
