About The Position

AEXP Express Corporation, a leader in Contract Delivery Service for the United States Postal Service, is seeking applicants for a mail delivery driver/mail carrier on a United States Postal Service mail route in Wray, CO. This is a full-time position requiring the contractor to provide their own vehicle and cover approximately 122 miles per day on a 61-mile delivery route. The estimated work hours are 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, 9 hours a day, 6 days a week (Monday to Saturday, excluding federal holidays). The contractor will be paid $300 per day as a 1099 contractor, with payments made monthly.

Requirements

• Must have legal documentation to work in the United States
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must be able to lift 70 pounds
• Must be able to work and safely drive in all types of weather conditions
• Must reside in the area or neighboring town/city of Wray, CO
• Must have a qualifying vehicle (Minivan/Cargo Van with at least 120 cubic feet of cargo capacity & less than 5 years old) and minimum liability insurance

Nice To Haves

• Former USPS employees/contractors (Highly Recommended)
• Candidates with Minivans and Cargo Vans without a center console for passenger side mailbox delivery (It will be hard to do the route if you do not meet this recommendation but still possible)
• Must be available to start immediately

Responsibilities

• Sorting mail and packages in delivery sequence for active mailboxes
• Loading mail and parcels in delivery sequence into a delivery vehicle
• Delivering mail and packages to customer boxes along an assigned line-of-travel
• Dismounting if required to deliver parcels, Express mail, and other accountable mail items
• Other administrative duties are required
