About The Position

AEXP Express Corporation is seeking a mail delivery driver/mail carrier for a United States Postal Service mail route in Williston, North Dakota. The contractor sorts and loads mail and packages in delivery sequence, then delivers them to customer mailboxes along an assigned route. The role may require dismounting to deliver parcels, Express mail, and other accountable mail, as well as completing administrative duties.

The contractor provides their own qualifying vehicle: a minivan or cargo van with at least 120 cubic feet of cargo capacity and less than five years of age, with minimum liability insurance. The estimated route is 20 miles per day, including a 10-mile delivery route. The schedule is six days per week, Monday through Saturday, including some federal holidays, with estimated hours of 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or less. Compensation is $180 per day as a 1099 contractor, paid monthly.

Requirements

• Have legal documentation to work in the United States.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a valid driver's license.
• Be able to lift 70 pounds.
• Be able to work and safely drive in all types of weather conditions.
• Reside in Williston, ND, or a neighboring town or city.
• Provide a qualifying minivan or cargo van with at least 120 cubic feet of cargo capacity and less than five years of age.
• Have minimum liability insurance.
• Provide your own vehicle.

Nice To Haves

• Former USPS employees or contractors are highly recommended.
• Candidates with minivans or cargo vans that have 120 cubic feet of cargo space and no center console are recommended for passenger-side mailbox delivery; the route may be difficult without this vehicle setup but is still possible.
• Be available to start immediately.

Responsibilities

• Sort mail and packages in delivery sequence for active mailboxes.
• Load mail and parcels in delivery sequence into a delivery vehicle.
• Deliver mail and packages to customer boxes along an assigned line of travel.
• Dismount when required to deliver parcels, Express mail, and other accountable mail items.
• Perform other required administrative duties.
