USPS Delivery Contractor - Kathryn, ND
About The Position
AEXP Express Corporation is seeking a mail delivery driver/mail carrier to operate a United States Postal Service mail route in Kathryn, North Dakota. The route starts on 11/30/2026. The contractor provides their own qualifying vehicle and drives approximately 110 miles per day, including a 55-mile delivery route. Compensation is $200 per day as a 1099 contractor, paid monthly. The schedule is full-time, six days per week, Monday through Saturday except federal holidays. The estimated hours are 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., approximately seven hours per day or less. Candidates must live in Kathryn or a neighboring town or city and be able to work and drive safely in all types of weather.
Requirements
- Have legal documentation to work in the United States.
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Have a valid driver's license.
- Be able to lift 70 pounds.
- Be able to work and safely drive in all types of weather conditions.
- Reside in Kathryn, North Dakota, or a neighboring town or city.
- Provide a qualifying minivan or cargo van with at least 120 cubic feet of cargo capacity and less than five years old.
- Carry minimum liability insurance.
- Provide your own vehicle.
Nice To Haves
- Former USPS employees or contractors are highly recommended.
- A minivan or cargo van with at least 120 cubic feet of cargo space and no center console for passenger-side mailbox delivery is recommended; the route may be difficult without these features but is still possible.
- Availability to start immediately.
Responsibilities
- Sort mail and packages into delivery sequence for active mailboxes.
- Load mail and parcels into the delivery vehicle in delivery sequence.
- Deliver mail and packages to customer boxes along an assigned line of travel.
- Dismount when required to deliver parcels, Express mail, and other accountable mail items.
- Perform other required administrative duties.
