About The Position

As an usher at the Fritz, you play a key role in making sure our guests have a smooth, welcoming, and enjoyable experience. You’ll help people find their seats, answer questions, and assist throughout the event to ensure everything runs smoothly. This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.

Requirements

• Must have the ability to stand for several hours at a time during our shows
• Available to work evenings and weekends (shifts are usually 3–4 hours)
• Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
• In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the US and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
• This position does not support visa sponsorship for continued employment.

Responsibilities

• Greeting patrons
• Scanning tickets
• Providing information about the event or venue
• Assisting patrons in finding their seats and accommodating special needs, such as wheelchair accessibility
• Distributing programs and materials to patrons
• Monitoring assigned doors and section to ensure patrons follow house rules (e.g., no flash photography, maintaining quiet)
• Managing the flow of guests during intermissions or emergencies
• Addressing disruptive behavior or any safety concerns
• Other duties as needed
